Dear AFTA Supporter,
On behalf of the Adirondack Foothills Trails Alliance, thank you for your membership in 2025. Your support plays a vital role in helping us grow and improve mountain bike access across Central New York and the Adirondacks. Thanks to members like you, AFTA continues to build momentum and elevate the riding experience for everyone.
We would like to welcome Oak Mountain to an addition of AFTA Trail systems. Try out some of their new terrain and more to come.
Old Forge Trail Expansion
Two years ago, the Town of Webb secured a $250,000 grant to expand the trail network into the Little Moose Mountain area behind McCauley Mountain. The grant includes a 20% matching requirement, and volunteer work days count toward that match—so keep an eye out for upcoming opportunities to pitch in.
We have added approximately 8.5 miles and have about 1.5 left to do for completion.
Save the Date: ADK Bike Festival – September 25-26
