Dear AFTA Supporter,
On behalf of the Adirondack Foothills Trails Alliance, thank you for your membership in 2024. Your support plays a vital role in helping us grow and improve mountain bike access across Central New York and the Adirondacks. Thanks to members like you, AFTA continues to build momentum and elevate the riding experience for everyone.
Old Forge Trail Expansion
Two years ago, the Town of Webb secured a $250,000 grant to expand the trail network into the Little Moose Mountain area behind McCauley Mountain. The grant includes a 20% matching requirement, and volunteer work days count toward that match—so keep an eye out for upcoming opportunities to pitch in.
The expansion is about halfway completed, with approximately five new miles of trail already built. Although these trails were closed for much of last season, they are now open and riding great.
We’ll be holding a soft opening of these new trails on Saturday, June 21, featuring music and bonfires. Bring your own food and drinks and come celebrate this exciting progress with the AFTA community.
Save the Date: ADK Bike Festival – September 19–20
Join us for two days of great riding and good times:
We’re introducing new membership tiers this year. Choose the level that works best for you:
